Ellio

Moving people

Starting from a unique drivetrain concept (motor + transmission) derived from the Toyota Hybrid System, ex-Toyota engineer Tomas Keppens and his young engineering colleague Jorrit Heidbuchel built a completely new E-bike drivetrain that combines high power, world-class safety and a truly wonderful riding experience. IntuEdrive – as the company came to be called – brought this technology to market in the form of an equally unique speed pedelec named Ellio, maximizing the FUNctionality of the bike with some daring design choices. In 6 years time, Ellio has grown to a multi-model speed pedelec brand that builds all its bikes in Belgium with the help of social employment. The company’s focus on quality and user experience is reflected in its direct sales and service organisation, creating a direct link between Ellio riders and the people developing and building the bikes.
